Room st. 1
The story begins in 1967
Room 1 has been a special place for us since the renovation began. It was once the personal space of Marica and Martin, who bought the Pri Rogovilcu guesthouse in 1967. At 18m2, it is the smallest, but it is imbued with a special character that guests simply adore and often book. The furniture is made of solid wood, which gives the room a warm and homely feel. It has a comfortable bed, a fireplace, coffee and tea making facilities so you can enjoy moments of peace. The bathroom is functionally equipped. Its special feature is the legendary Avsenik's song "Tam kde murke bloom", written on glass. A favourite song of the former owner. Room 1 invites you to rest and pays tribute to the family tradition. The old photographs hanging on the wall are testimony to this.

"Broštik"
BREAKFAST FOR A GREAT START TO THE DAY In Solčava, breakfast "Broštik" has always been an important meal of the day. At your request, a basket full of Solčava delicacies will be waiting for you at the door at the time of your choice to give you energy for the day ahead. We use only locally selected ingredients. The basket is filled with local meats, cheeses and cottage cheese from the surrounding farms. Several types of bread are served alongside. The vegetables are grown in the garden of our grandmother Marica. She also takes care of the hens so that we always serve fresh eggs. Juice and jam are made especially for you from local fruit. The cakes are baked according to the recipes that used to be used in the tavern Pri Rogovilcu.
Sauna
FOR TOTAL RELAXATION A Finnish sauna is also available for private use on request. The sauna area is thoughtfully designed in an Alpine style, with a mix of pine wood and stone. After the sauna, you can refresh yourself with a cold shower made of wooden cobblestones, such as those used in the past on the Solčava farms. You can continue relaxing with a glass of wine, in the room by the fireplace or on the outdoor terrace by the fireplace. We make sure our minibar is always well-stocked with home-brewed beer and quality wine.
THE STORY
THE STORY
The story begins in 1967
In 1967, Marica and Martin Prodnik bought a guesthouse called Pri Rogovilcu, named after the horn-shaped stream that flows on the opposite bank and empties into the Savinja. They sold their newly-built house in Koroška and moved to in Robanov Kot.
As the building and the surrounding area were in a very poor state, the renovation was undertaken gradually due to lack of money. Martin himself made a major contribution to the renovation. He was a very skilful man, doing all the housework and landscaping. Marica was in charge of the kitchen and the running of the whole restaurant. The building was well maintained and a popular meeting place for many guests. Over the years, the restaurant has regained its old reputation. This is mainly thanks to the good food on offer.
In 1972, they added fresh trout baking to their offer. In the 1990s, they retired from a successful career in the catering business. They left the guesthouse to the next generation. Until 2008, it was operated by tenants. In 2012, the successors decided to overhaul the inn and restore it to the reputation and visibility it had gained over a respectable 100 years.
